Traffic Light Recognition and 5G Pilot in Helsinki

Aavista leads in a pilot to recognize traffic lights and traffic signs using computer vision.

In Aavista solution, the benefit for the driver is the real-time notifications about upcoming traffic lights and signs. Processing is done on edge and fast thanks to the 5G network.

The pilot is part of UrbanSense 5G Innovation Program managed by Forum Virium. Telia Oyj provides 5G with cloud services. Lempea Edge Oy participates in the pilot with its Rain Edge platform.
